In the past years, several research groups in Spain have begun working in the area of Linked Data. These groups are involved separately in both in major initiatives and European consortia, as well as in collaborations with companies and national and international institutions.

Objectives

The national thematic network has as main objective to facilitate exchange and transfer of knowledge between national research groups associated with universities, technology centers and companies. Also, try to increase the exchange and transfer of knowledge with Spanish researchers that are currently working abroad in related areas. We believe that promoting exchange and knowledge transfer will also increase the international visibility of Spanish research in Linked Data, as well as greater internal cohesion.

A number of instruments have been defined to achieve this overall objective, which are detailed below:

1. Regular meetings of research and evangelism, with companies and governments, in the format of voCamps, Linked Data meetups and breakfasts.
2. Creating syllabi and educational materials (on-line tutorials, slides, etc.).
3. Promoting mobility of researchers throughout the country.
