The Ontology Engineering Group is at the top-ten of research groups at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). It is based on the School of Computer Science at UPM. Its research areas cover Ontological Engineering, Semantic Web and Linked Data, Semantics in Open Science, and Data-Driven Language Technologies. We have developed applications in a wide range of domains, including knowledge management, environment, e-commerce, job market, funding, geospatial, libraries, etc.

  • Definition of architectures for interoperable and decentralized service systems in the Web of Things
  • Development of semantic interoperability components in decentralized environments in the Web of Things
  • Development of data federation, validation and data privacy services in the Web of Things
  • Development of proofs of concept in the Web of Things

Required experiencie:

  • The person must have a research profile to work in the field of semantic interoperability from distributed data sources using linked data and semantics. Knowledge of the Internet of Things, the Web of Things paradigm, blockchain, and privacy would be an asset.
