Carlos Badenes-Olmedo is a member of Ontology Engineering Group (OEG) in Universidad Politécnica de Madrid where he finished his studies of Master in Artificial Intelligence (2015). He is a Computer Science Engineer (2006) in the same institution.

Previously he participated as software architect in the industry in projects oriented to handle massive real-time data and Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications for more than eight years. Also, he colaborates in the "Technology for Development and Cooperation" (TEDECO)) group as software engineer mainly oriented to data mining tasks in *Call Detail Records* (CDRs).

His research interest is focused on the Ontology Engineering, Machine Learning, Information Retrieval, Exploratory Search and Recommender Systems.
