ISO TC 37

The mission of the Committee TC 37 of ISO (International Organization for Standardization) (http://www.iso.org) is the standardization of principles, methods and applications related to the terminology, the language industries and the different terminology resources, and organization of knowledge within the several contexts of multilingual communication and cultural diversity. This committee has 4 sub-committees and various working groups within each subcommittee.

In this committee TC 37 are involving more than 140 countries. Spain is represented by AENOR, which is Asociación Española de Normalización y Certificación ( Spanish Association for Standardisation and Certification) (http://www.aenor.es).

Role of the OEG in the group

Guadalupe Aguado de Cea, was recently elected president of the mirror committee of ISO TC 37 in Spain, AEN CTN 191 Terminology. Since its establishment in February 2006, she has been the secretary of the committee. This committee has been translated into Spanish the rules UNE-ISO 1087-1 and UNE-ISO 1087-2. Guadalupe Aguado de Cea has regularly attended the annual international meetings of TC 37, as the Spanish representative, during the last five years (2007-2011).
